Auditions - 2011.2012
The Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra (TSYO) is a high-level orchestral training programme for talented musicians aged 22 and under.
Auditions for the TSYO 2011.2012 season will take place September 9-11, 2011.
Members must re-audition each season with prepared pieces, specified orchestral excerpts and technical exercises (audition excerpts and detailed technical requirements will be sent out after June 1st).
Applications are due by Friday, August 19, 2011.

2011-2012 TSYO Fee Structure:
Audition Fee $30
Due by Aug. 19, 2011. Non-refundable.
Registration Fee $650
Due by August 19, 2011. Two payment options available:
i) one installment of $650 dated for August 19th, 2011;
ii) two installments of $325; the first, dated for August 19, 2011 and the second post-dated for Jan. 15, 2012. If the split payment option is preferred, both cheques must still be submitted with the Application form by August 19, 2011.
All cheques must be made payable to the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (or TSO). Entire registration fee will be returned if applicant is unsuccessful. Should a member choose to withdraw from the orchestra after September 30, 2011, first term Registration Fees will be non-refundable.
Late Fee $20
Applied only to applications received after Aug. 19, 2011. Late applicants are not guaranteed an audition slot; audition fee, late fee and registration fee will be returned if an audition cannot be granted.
Tour Fee $650
This is an estimate of the total anticipated tour cost to British Columbia. The tour will take place from May 17-21st, 2012. The estimated cost includes airfare, accommodation and activities that take place while on tour. A detailed itinerary of activities will be distributed by February 18, 2012, along with details for Tour Fee payment. Financial assistance and fundraising opportunities will be available. More details will be available in September 2011.
