Seniors & Student Discounts
Seniors and students receive special discounts for selected series
and seating sections. A senior discount is available to patrons 65
years or older as of Dec. 31, 2010. A student is anyone in full-time
attendance at an educational institution. ID is required. Tickets will
not be mailed until a copy of senior or student ID is presented to the TSO Customer Service Department. Call 416.598.3375 for a list of acceptable forms of ID.
Prices
All prices include a $3.00 surcharge per ticket to be paid to the
Roy Thomson Hall Capital Replacement Fund (CRF), a $2.55 per ticket TSO
handling charge, and tax on the total. George Weston Recital Hall
tickets include a $1.75 Capital Investment Fund (CIF) and a $2.55 per
ticket TSO handling charge, and tax on the total.
13% HST Begins May 1st
As of May 1st, the full 13% Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) must be included
on tickets to all performances taking place after July 1st in the 10.11
season (September 2010 to June 2011).
Historically TSO tickets have been exempt from the 8% Ontario
Provincial Sales Tax (PST), but that exemption will end with the new
HST coming into effect. Order subscription packages by April 30 to save
the additional taxes.
Programmes
Artists and programmes, dates, prices, chats, and CBC broadcasts are
subject to change without notice. When time allows, programme changes
will be announced ahead of the concert time.
Ordering Details
All orders are processed in sequence according to the date the
payment is received and must be accompanied by payment for processing. For best available seats, order as early as possible.
Due to popularity, some series, concerts and/or sections may have
limited seating. Refunds of complete subscription series packages are
accepted up to 48 hours prior to the first concert in the series.
Refund requests must be received in writing (please enclose the
original concert tickets). There are no refunds on individual concerts
within a series or on additional tickets purchased.

At TSO Concerts at Roy Thomson Hall
You may drop off your tickets at the Customer Service desk in the lobby
before the concert, and we will have your new tickets ready for pick up
during intermission. For concerts with no intermission, we will make
alternate arrangements.

To Complete Your Exchange:
- Invalidate your original tickets by writing VOID across them.
- MAIL your voided tickets to:

Please include your name, patron number, and daytime telephone number on the fax. If your voided tickets are received 3 weeks prior to the
new concert date they will be mailed, or if received less than 3 weeks
your new tickets will be available for pick-up at the Box Office.
Important Exchange Notes
While we offer the most flexible subscription exchange policy in Toronto, some exceptions apply:
- August 17, 2010 is the first day that requests for ticket exchanges will be processed.
- Only 2010.2011 subscribers* are exempt from exchange fees.
- In the case of an exchange, a fee of $8 per ticket will apply for
non-subscribers. Please note - exchanges must be made 48 hours prior to
the concert date.
- To exchange your tickets please contact Toronto Symphony Orchestra Customer Service at 416.598.3375, Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm.
- The TSO cannot permit ticket exchanges into any of the concert dates listed below.
- Tickets may be exchanged out of any concert date.
- Exchanges are subject to availability. The TSO reserves the right
to refuse exchange privileges into or out of any performance.
- Exchanges are “a ticket for a ticket”. The TSO will issue you one ticket for each ticket you wish to exchange.
- You will be charged the difference (if any) in subscription-ticket
value between the ticket(s) you hold and the ticket(s) for the desired
performance.
- Please note that exchanges made into a lower price level/series
will not receive a refund, credit, or tax receipt for the difference.
* Please note, Christmas in July package buyers are not considered subscribers.

For patrons with special needs, Roy Thomson Hall has six underground parking spots and a
small number of above ground spots . Please call to reserve in advance. 416.593.4822 ext. 375.
The TSO runs a telephone subscription campaign from March to December, so you may
receive a call from one of our friendly representatives.
We don’t want you to miss a note! When coming to a concert, please
remember that traffic, parking, and weather can affect your arrival
time, so leave early to make sure you’re not late!
