TSO Goes Late Night: Beethoven 9
Beethoven Late Night
Brand new to the TSO is a special one-night-only performance of Beethoven Symphony No. 9 at 11:00pm. Stay after the concert for an audience-wide party with TSO musicians, guest artists, and live music!
Music Director Peter Oundjian conducts the Orchestra in Beethoven’s monumental 9th Symphony featuring an all-Canadian cast and the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir.
During the première of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, the music was received with such emotion that both the audience and the orchestral musicians wept. Tragically, Beethoven heard neither the music nor the applause due to his profound deafness, and he only witnessed the audience’s elation after a musician directed his attention to it.

- Michèle Losier, mezzo-soprano
- Frédéric Antoun, tenor
