Conductor Carlos Miguel Prieto makes his TSO début with this immensely colourful programme. Violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg brings her uniquely infectious exuberance to tango legend Astor Piazzolla's spicy South American evocations of the four seasons. Stravinsky's kaleidoscopic dance score, Petrouchka, tells a haunting tale of love and betrayal, set in the bustling world of a Russian fairground.

TSO CONDUCTOR CHANGE NOTICE: MAY 26 AND 27
Conductor Robert Spano, with much regret, must cancel his engagement with the TSO, due to a slipped disc.  He is recovering but must stay off his feet as much as possible over the next several days. The TSO is grateful to conductor Carlos Miguel Prieto for travelling from Mexico City on short notice to conduct the TSO.
