Northern Residency
The Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) returns to communities in northern Ontario September 12 – 16, 2011 for its seventh annual Northern Residency. The five-day tour has a strong educational focus as well as concerts for the public in Sudbury and Sault Ste Marie.
In this 2011 Northern Residency, the TSO brings the How the Gimquat Found Her Song live orchestral performance to students in four Student Concerts (one of which will be French language). This programme was developed by the TSO in partnership with Platypus Theatre and Oz Media.
The TSO Northern Residency is made possible in part by a grant from the Ontario Arts Council’s Ontario Touring program and with the support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
RBC Foundation supports the Northern Residency as part of the TSO’s Regional Education Programme.
