Members of the Orchestra
Patricia Krueger,
principal keyboard & percussion

Toronto-born Patricia Krueger began her musical training at the Royal Conservatory of Music when she was three years old. She later graduated from the University of Toronto's Faculty of Music. As a young artist, Ms Krueger performed in recital and as guest soloist with orchestras throughout North America. Her concerts have been broadcast frequently on both radio and television.
Ms Krueger’s association with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra began when she appeared as a soloist during Walter Susskind's tenure as music director. As the TSO‘s principal keyboardist and a member of the percussion section since 1978, Ms Krueger plays piano, harpsichord, organ, celeste, synthesizer, and a variety of percussion instruments. She also serves as the Orchestra’s rehearsal accompanist, and has worked with such renowned conductors and artists as Aaron Copland, Sir Andrew Davis, Seiji Ozawa, Jessye Norman, Isaac Stern, and Pinchas Zukerman.
Committed to furthering music education and following in the footsteps of her father, the late Dr. Harvey Perrin, Ms Krueger gives lectures and workshops to many groups of adults and young people. Currently, she is on the faculty of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, the organization that provided the foundation for her own orchestral career.
In 1998, Ms Krueger was invited by Seiji Ozawa to represent the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and Canada as a member of the Nagano Winter Orchestra. This international ensemble, consisting of musicians hand-picked by Maestro Seiji Ozawa from the world’s leading orchestras, performed a series of concerts in Japan which included the opening ceremonies of the Nagano Winter Olympic Games in 1998. Ms Krueger appears regularly as a soloist with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
